The course structure for Emerging Markets in year three has changed. Just to be totally clear: For each region there will only be one region-specific course going forward, and your region-specific course will take place in period 2.
In period 1 you should all take the course EBC2167 Emerging Markets in the Globalisation Debate. This course replaces the region-specific courses in period 1. Next to that course you should take your business or economics major/elective course; that has not changed.
In period 2 of year three you should take the following:
- EBC2037 Economics and Society in Contemporary Asia (if you are going to Asia)
- EBC2160 Economics and Society in Contemporary Latin America (if you are going to Latin America)
- EBC2161 Doing Business in Emerging Markets (if you are going somewhere else)
... and alongside that course you should take a business or economics major/elective course.
Furthermore, note that if you are an IB student (or an EBE student doing business courses), you are recommended to do two courses from the same major, but that is not a strict requirement. You are allowed to choose two major or elective courses that are not part of the same major.
Regarding the skills course EBS2067: Note that you will take this in period 1. It is a floating skill that spreads over that period and a little bit into period 2.
